Financial Disassociation but Still Together

Good morning,
I'm worried my poor credit history will negatively affect my partner.
Having a joint bank account for bills has now financially linked us, however if that starts to affect her I'd want to disassociate. I was hoping we could just close the joint account and apply for disassociation however from the forms you only seem to be able to do this if you separate. Is it possible to disassociate and still live together?

Disassociation is possible if you live together and are not financially linked by any joint accounts, joint judgements or joint credit applications. Separation is not the only reason for being able to financially disassociate.
You'll need to do this for all 3 Credit Reference Agencies as they may all have you financially linked. See links for HOW TO disassociate for each agency below:
Experian disassociation
Equifax disassociation

There's going to be loads of couples out there who are together but aren't financially linked for whatever reason they choose.0

I am not financially associated with my husband - to do would be credit file suicide.0
