Mum's doing a pattern, so I can't help with the explanation but I've copied the row that she's stuck on. Any help appreciated. The row is as follows:

Ch2, turn, work cluster in first 2 ch-2 spaces, work 2 cluster in next ch-2 space, work cluster in next 2 ch-2 spaces, *work 2 clusters in next ch-2 space, repeat from * across, work 1 cluster in last 4 ch-2 spaces, work an extra cluster in last ch-2 space: 33 clusters. [(cluster is Dc, ch2, sc) in same stitch]

It's a capelet crochet pattern. http://leilaandben.com/childcapelet.htm

Thanks

What is she having trouble with? The line you have written makes sense to me. Unfortunately it is a pay for pattern so I can't look at it :(

Hi, thanks. Where it says work cluster in first 2 ch-2 spaces. Does it mean one cluster or two?

It looks like just one in that first 2 ch space, probably because of the turning 2ch's
Best to count how many clusters there are after she has finished the row. There should be 33.

Just completed row nine with no problems and I have 44 clusters :)
Rows 10 to 21 is just a cluster in each 2ch space so still 44.

Excellent, thanks for all your help. With it being a pattern for 12 months to 5 years she thinks she might have to add a bit on so it can fit my niece who's 8. Obviously she'll just keep with the 44 clusters that is a repeat row. She knitting it with James C Brett twinkle in white and it looks really pretty.
