Sainsbury's Credit Card Cheque

I've not used my Sainsbury's Card in a while (zero balance) and just been keeping it to see if they offer me a life of balance or zero % deal.

Anyway, they've sent me a cheque to use before end 19th Aug with a 6.95% life of balance (3% fee) deal.

Now this is not as good as I was hoping and not worth the hassle as I have as good a rate in my oneaccount. My question is are these sort of things open to negotiation? Have people rung to try and got better rates?

I know I could just ring and ask but I'm a bit of a coward on the phone :o
