                    hello all
firstly thank you to this fabulous site for guiding me through successfully reclaiming over 6.5k in charges from Natwest! :j
However, having recieved and returned an offer letter accepting on the 24th july and being informed over the phone that the money would be in my account within 10 working days I have this morning recieved a second offer letter dated 03 Aug (for the same amount) with a re-worded acceptance form due to the upcoming court case.
Now I'm fairly certain that as I have already formally accepted the offer that *legally* there is no reason why I should return this to get my money. I will of course, because as they know, I want the cash but it amazes me. Even now these banks think they're above the law
What do you lot think - are they making it up as they go along AGAIN?
Good luck to all of you still fighting for your money, a very happy, though slightly exasperated

If you still have a copy of your first acceptance letter may I suggest an altenrnative course. Write them back and tell them that as you have already accepted thier offer and refere to the date of your acceptance if they do not send you a cheque within 7 days you will sue them on the agreement. They will probably argue incorrectly that because of the court case all matters are on hold. That would not be correct as you are not claiming to recover bank charges you are claiming to recover money owed under a compromise agreement. As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0

thanks, I might just do that.
I spent 25mins on hold to get through to them by phone today, by the time I got through to someone the battery on my phone died! So I am guessing there's a hell of a lot of us in the same boat.
I dunno, I'd given them top marks for rolling over so easily and then they try getting crafty on the finishing line.
 thanks again
