Since there has already been an interview then presumably the fraud investigators will be gathering evidence.

Did your family member produce any evidence that the partner was living elsewhere? Is there any evidence?

These cases can take months and she may be asked back for a second interview.

The family member should check that she is receiving Child Benefit, Child Tax Credits , HB and CT support. She may also be eligible for some financial support. Ask at the Job Centre. Not sure if hardship payments are given when suspected of benefit fraud.

    Can family help out?
