Current account savings questions

Looking for help with cah saving in current accounts to hold cash looking at the TSB classic plus and nationwide

1.Can you fund the full amount from day 1?
2.The monthly min £500 is that paid in until the £2000 limit is reached?
3.Do you still need to fund the account monthly after the limit is reach indefinately to get ?

All new to this as the ISA rates currently are dire,any recommendations welcome

1. You can fund as soon as you've got the account details, ie sort code and account number. However, it might not be particularly wise to fund until you've access to the cash, ie can get it back out again should the need arise...so you're probably best waiting until you've online/branch/debit card access.

yes you need to pay in a lump of cash each month (£500 for TSB) to get the interest. You can take it out again though.

The Nationwide one only pays the good rate for 1 year
