I have just been given a wonderful gift of a new tft monitor, lucky me!
When I viewd MSE on my old screen thebackground colour or skin, not sure what you call it was orangey, now it's white and can anyone tell me how to change it please, the CD user manual that came with it isn't working keeps saying NO disc in drive, thanks.

Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Hold up sortry to have bothered you all I'm thinking that it may have been my old monitor after all. It's probably the shock of having such clarity all of a sudden, I can now see that the colours are the same as before down the sides and top etc, my background where we read the threads must have appeared a bit dingy, does that make sense? I hope so and that you forgive me for being a dimwit.:o hiding now!
Ali on another board they have skins that you can change more than I can understand but you only had to click at the bottom to change the appearance.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Oh well, glad it seems to be ok now. You'll get used to the new monitor pretty quickly I would imagine, especially if it's clearer, lol.Herman - MP for all!0

I have been meaning to ask if you can change the colours here as I have a 'floater' and hate the light background. Anyone?0

You probably had your previous monitor set to a slightly "warmer" setting if the white background was a light tint of orange. That just makes everything seem more red, and generally easier on the eyes because you don't have to deal with an harsh colours such as white.
The great thing with tft's, and especially tft's using DVI, is the accuracy of the colours."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I think you are right wolfman I've turned the brightness quite low now and it is easier on the eye and as you say 'warmer'.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)
