Previous homeowners defaulting on payments

Hi MSE'ers
I moved into my first house last June, and we're still getting the previous homeowners post (and electoral voting cards today!). They've not redirected any post from bank accounts/credit cards etc.
At first we put them back in the postbox with "return to sender, no longer at this address" written on them, however recently we've started getting letters through the door with "act now" written on the envelope. I opened one to a credit card statement that states payments have been defaulted.
Yes I'm aware I shouldn't have opened it, but when we're getting approx 15 letters a week and voting cards, it's clear they've not changed anything over after nearly a year of moving.
My question is - will this affect my credit rating? Is this likely to affect my ability to get credit? I'm concerned that their poor credit could be affecting me?
Thanks in advance

Credit histories are specific to individuals, not front doors. Just return them or bin them. It won't impact you.0

I open all post that gets delivered to my door. As long as your not cashing cheques sent to them or depriving them of anything then your doing nothing wrong.
Send it back with a note saying that you bought the property in 2014 and the person they are looking for no longer lives here.

As zx81 says, there's no such thing as address blacklisting with regards to credit and financial information. It's the previous occupants problem.0
