Hi,
I need to get a Fuji XD memory for my daughters camera but am having huge problems getting hold of one.
Will the Olympus be okay and will it work automatically in the camera?
Any advice gratefully received;)

it doesnt matter, use any card of that type will fit.
the only problem u have with cards and diff makes is only certain things accept upto certain sizes so a 2 year old digi cam wont accept a 4gig mem card.0 -
Hi, thanks the camera is new so it should be okay? We only want a 512mb/1gb card.0

yeah wont be a problem. also for cheapest cards use ebay.co.uk
becareful though there not all real.
e.g. it will just have a sticker on it having a fake name. but there isnt any real difference. if ur not sure or want the 100% real product (not that it makes a difference) use
https://www.ebuyer.com0 -
My local Asda had offers on XD cards this week, I was looking for some myself
As you found they are in short supply, but if a store is near you could be worth popping in and checking
I have just bought, delivery expected today / tomorrow a 2gig Xd from
http://www.valueshop.co.uk/xd_olympus.asp
& just checked, they have a 512 in stock, as well as others at 8.49 free P & PNumerus non sum0 -
I had an olympus camera a while back and I bought a Fuji XD card for it. Using a different XD card disabled the panoramic setting, but on the whole it didnt make a difference unless I wanted that feature. That was a couple of years ago now so they've probably stopped doing that now.0

to be honest there are loads of cheap memory cards on the net but once you add in poastage which normally seems to be expensive its just not worth it. i saw some cheap cards in tesco the other day, cant remember exactly what they were but they did strike me as being a bit of a bargain!
btw im using a fuji card in a kodak camera so you wont have any rpobs with different "makes"Comp Wins 12: Etnies Beanie, Royal Stafford Cheese plate,

Used these recently and they were fine. Paid by credit card over the phone.

Also used Ebuyer for usb flash drives but only when they were offering free shipping on them. When cycling, I pay the same road tax as any other zero carbon emission vehicle.0 -
Amazon is now doing a Kingston 2GB Secure Digital card for £6.99 (about 50p more than a 1GB alternative!):

https://www.7DayShop.com is noted for low cost top brand memory cards.0
