On the 11th hour I received the following response from Studio 24 ( literally on the last day of the 8 weeks since they sent the acknowledgement email!)

    Dear Mr Morris,
Thank you for your email in relation to your account and your credit file. In order to discuss your concerns further, I tried to contact you by telephone. As I was unsuccessful in speaking with you, I have based my findings on the information available to me.

Having fully undertaken a review of your account, I can see from our records that the statement 1 was produced and issued without any apparent production problems. However, I am sorry to hear that you did not receive the statement.

I fully appreciate your concerns in relation to the charges being applied and the negative mark on your credit file. I can confirm our Customer Services department have removed the default sum and service charge along with forwarding your details to have your credit file amended.

In conclusion to my investigation, I believe your complaint should be upheld. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience our actions have caused you and hope you now consider your complaint to be resolved.

May I thank you for providing the opportunity to look into your account and I do hope that you now consider your concerns to be fully resolved to your satisfaction. However, if you are dissatisfied with this response to your complaint you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. If you decide that you wish to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service you will need to do so within six months of the date of this letter. A link to a leaflet detailing the Financial Ombudsman Service is enclosed for your reference: http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/consumer-leaflet.htm. A hard copy is available on request.
    Yours sincerely

At last!!! Any idea how long a correction takes to hit a report? I'm still pretty PO'd that it happened in the first place.

Could go through with their next set of routine monthly updates which could be any time in the month. Could be done as a rapid update at some point in between whenever they decide to action it.

In other words, unless you have an urgent issue/reason, then say within a month. If not done by then, follow up.
