Asda don't seem to know what Sale of Goods Act says

Asda Walmart is American owned and is a company that I avoid.
You would have been better going to GAME online, they are cheaper than Asda on a lot of things, delivery is free and their customer service is exemplary

I bought some Google Play Cards in ASDA last week. One of the 3 I bought had already been partly scratched off, when I tried to scratch it along with the rest of the card the first numbers / letters just disappeared. I returned it to ASDA who happily replaced it for another. In fact they were incredibly helpful.

They may well have received 'advice' from trading standards at head office level.
