British Gas

Options
British Gas continually send me bills to my business premises, i don't use gas at these facilities, one of them doesn't even have a gas supply, i have called them several times to explain, i think now one of them they have marked my account as 'stop sending bills' but once again getting bills for the other premises.
This is getting beyond a joke, thing is i imagine some companies wouldn't bat an eye and just pay these fictitious bills, no doubt to the benefit of British Gas.
Can i send an invoice to British Gas for my time, phone calls, emails etc as this is just getting ridiculous? My last email to them i told them i would invoice for my time.

You can, of course, do whatever you want, but any business with even a most basic financial control system in place will not entertain any invoice that arrives out the blue, i.e. without a pre-existing contract in place (presumably why you are refusing to entertain the invoice you have received from British Gas as you believe there is no contract in place betweeen you - there might be but that's for later)

What I would suggest you do in the first instance is to raise a complaint in line with the supplier's complaint procedure and see where that takes you :)
