Bit of a performance, mostly from the buyers' lenders' solicitors, but I took a chance on having the final clearance done last Thursday, with my co-executor muttering about not wanting to do that before exchange.

A few more prods from us to our solicitor, and from him to the buyers' solicitors, and from them to the lenders' solicitors ... and finally this morning got the call asking for final confirmation that they could proceed. Oh Yes Please!

We don't have the money yet, but the solicitor says he'll sort it next week.

Must phone the utilities tomorrow morning ...

I'm glad that this has been sorted for you.

We are just awaiting Probate before hubby puts MIL's house on the market following her death last month. I don't foresee any problems at the moment...

    You never do, do you?

Of all the problems we anticipated, this wasn't one!
