Obtaining a BTL mortgage

A friend recently bought his first house in October. It was of course a residential mortgage but he hasn't ever lived in the property. It's came to the point now were he has owned it now for over 6 months and we're wondering if he will now be able to obtain a BTL mortgage.

He is not registered on the voters roll, council tax and has no Gas or Electric bills set up at this address.

Apologies if this is a silly question

Thanks

Out of interest, are the utilities all cut off?

What has happened re council tax? Has he got (valid) insurance?

Is he asking about getting a 2nd, BTL, mortgage, or switching the current one to BTL?

Best advice would be to tell him to see an independant mortgage broker.....
