just bought a new build move radiator 1 feet

me and my partner have just bought our first house :) only issue is the wardrobe we bought just fits in gap but we cant open drawers due to radiator :wall: so need to move it across one foot but the plastic pipes which connect the radiator are just long enough for where the radiator is.

with money being tight wanted to do it myself so was wondering how difficult it is to extend the pipes ? also what will i need ?
if it is difficult and a proffesional is needed how much would you anticipate a good quote to be ?

thanks in advance :j

You say it is a new build so the Site Manager and contractors may still be on site. One option is to ask the contractors to do the work for you on an informal basis. The introduction would be through the Site Manager. If you have a good rapport here the work may be reasonably priced. For example, you may ask for the pipes to be altered and the radiator re-hung and tested. You would offer to do the filling of holes and any re-decorating.

If they are plastic pipes they are probably push fit and, assuming you have enough room and depending upon the orientation of the pipe to radiator valve, you can use a connector, an elbow and 1 foot of additional pipe to reconnect your rad when it is moved. You will have to drain or partially drain the system as you will have open ended pipes whilst carrying out the move. I would suggest Furts solution is the way to go. Good luck

yeah we bought the last house so the site has been finished for a bit of time unfortunatly, what would you expect a resonable price for the work would be ?
