how to measure for replacement built in oven

HI
I am replacing my Belling synergie built in oven. When looking for a replacement do you measure the outside top to bottom and across , and then the depth inside, or the inside measurements. I am looking for something similar to fit the gap and don't want to buy something that doesn't fit
Thanks

Built in ovens all go into standard oven housings, if it's a single oven any single oven will fit into the housing, it's the same with the built in double ovens, but if it's a built under double under oven you have to more careful as some of them are on legs and some slide in on brackets attached to your units.

Thanks Zoob, they did all seem to be the same size when I was looking. I will go ahead and get one now
  • watch out if you have a gas hob and electric oven because you may need an oven with a tapered back to take into account the space needed for the gas pipe (we discovered this at the point of someone coming to fit the oven......)
