Orford has got it almost right when he says tear it. You don't want a straight cut strip. But when you tear DON'T tear what is the most natural way. holding the paper in your left hand and pulling towards you with your right hand. That will give a tear that shows where the join is. Tearing is certainly a good option I've done it several times and provided when you tear you do it the way SailorSam says it will work and once its painted you can't see it at all.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
