Halifax Cashback Extras

One of the offers on Halifax cash back Extras is 10% off at Sainsbury's online. The text of the offer does not specify whether the cashback is available online orders or only in store. The cash back extra general terms and conditions to not specify this, they refer back to each individual retailers terms. I'm reluctant to do an online shop unless I'm sure the 10% applies. Can anyone confirm having activated the offer and placed an online sainsbury's shop and having received the 10% cash back?

yes it would but that's my mistake, it doesn't say that on the offers page. The offer is for 'Sainsbury's'. My fingers got ahead of my brain there. Question still stands.

I had a similar offer for Sainsbury's with Lloyds Bank the other week. In my case it was for purchases made in store and online so I'd guess it was the same for you.

Perhaps not. The offer has also appeared on my Halifax account, but only offering £5 cashback.

The wording is: "Earn 5% Cashback on your next purchase from Sainsbury's. Save on a wide range of big brands in store and live well for less at Sainsbury’s. Offer expires 17/05/2015 and is valid one time only. Offer not valid in petrol stations. Don't forget, you can also earn Nectar points at Sainsbury's. If you don't have a Nectar card you can pick up a registration pack in store and start collecting straight away."

As it specifically mentioned "in store" I would asume online purchases are excluded.
