                    Hi
I just received a notification that Ive lost my appeal and now have to pay £80! (rather than the £40 if I hadn't appealed - how is this legal)?
Basically earlier in the year I parked at a local park to drop off my sons inhaler, I was gone for 2-3 minutes, less time than it would to walk to the pay machine. As I walked back down the stairs I saw the attendant, I called out to him but he ignored me! I appealed on the basis of time parked, it would have been longer if I was queuing at machine, I could've been getting change- its a local park largely paid for by council tax and over zealous charging is uncalled for. Yes i realise now that mitigation doesn't work but is there anything I can do?? I'm so angry about this, its very unfair.
I did contact the park owners but they simply past my comments on to the carpark operator and didn't even acknowledge me!
Help, advice would be great!
Thanks.
