Plus the professionals don't know because the news has been released yet. I totally get that its a risk, when I can commit more time to spend looking at company data etc I'd love to do it more but at the moment just thought I'd dip my toe in the water.0

All very true, but sometimes when you only have one egg, it is difficult not to have it in a single basket.

With respect, the OP asked how to buy a share as an investment.
Some may think that's a risky thing to do, but to call it gambling or speculating - without knowing any details - feels kind of insulting.
When someone comes on here asking how to put £10 on Red Rum, or buy leveraged cotton futures, then knock yourselves out and I'll join in.
