You've cracked it! Just checked and it would appear that my home insurance dd misses a month because it has recently renewed, therefore no DD in April. Very, very annoying!

You could set up one or two Tesco savings accounts, with DDs from Club Lloyds so this never happens again ;)

Haha, I will do when I get more money!

For now, I've transferred my broadband dd as a backup as I'm bound to forget in future!

Even if you need 2 DDs, you can do it for £2 per month. And the money taken by DD is still yours ;)

Ha yes, this is true. I just can't be bothered with the hassle for the sake of 2 quid a month! Got my mobile and broadband dd's from this account now and they'll go every month so I'm all good!

[STRIKE]If you had the full £20k or thereabouts in the account and missed a DD, you would have lost approx £40 interest :([/STRIKE]

edit: I got carried away - thinking about Santander 123
    substitute £5k & £13 :o

    Obviously, its your decision though.

And presumably they're set not too close to the end of the month?

5k is the max that they pay interest on. Hindsight is wonderful but all I can do is ensure it doesn't happen again, and I've done so by adding another dd.

£13 wasted, but hey ho, I've wasted much more than that in the past!
