Balance transfer issue

Hi all,
Newbie here! I recently opened a First Direct credit card intending to process a balance transfer from a very high interest rate Capital One shop direct card. I tried this online and didn't have much luck so gave the very helpful team a quick call. After giving all of the CC details to FD they advised me that they were unable to find the CC details on their database of cards. I've rang Capital One for any additional details (I've done a balance transfer from this card before) but they've been unable to help.
So I'm a bit stuck at the moment. I really want to get the BT done asap. Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips/advice?
Thanks

Sometimes in such situations the new card company uses for the payment the bank details (the same you can use for making manual payments to C1) instead of the card number. If they refuse and still can't make a transfer using the card number, then you hardly can do anything.0
