28/8 Panasonic DMC FX12 compact digital camera - £81!

Hi

I bought one of these today - gets a good write up (see www.photographyblog.com/reviews_panasonic_lumix_dmc_fx12_6.php), and it will only have cost about £81! It's fairly simple, but very compact, and has a Leica lens and is 7.2 megapixels.

Dixons were doing for £134, but I used their Pricematch promise phone line and they agreed to do it for £121 to match purelygadgets.co.uk. And the sales person was great on the phone.

BUT! There is also a cashback send away deal which will get me a chequeback from Panasonic for £40!

Dont want to be a "downer" but Digital Cameras without viewfinders, (this seem to be a growing trend in order to get the camera smaller) are impossible to use in bright sunlight.(remember trying to get cash out on a sunny day?):o

Yes, sorry - typo - but a bad one!

And yes - cash back runs until end of August...

I know that no viewfinder isn't the best, but I was just really looking for a snap camera that I can take about with me... we do have one with a 10x optical zoom, and a viewfinder, but it gets left at home because it's so big!

Quick check on the Currys and Dixons website shows that it now expires 31 August 2007.
