Touch wood I'm hopefully going to be in the position of having sold my house before I have to buy another one in the next couple of weeks. I guess the gap between buying and selling could be any time, but my guess would be 6 months but certainly less than a year.
I'm wondering where the best place would be to put the money in the meantime. Obviously I would need access within a reasonable time and I need to think about the £85k limit, I would take security over interest I think. Are there any government investments suitable that would be guaranteed or am i going to have to split my money into 2 or 3 pots?
