Posting perfume with RM

Hi, I've got quite alot of perfumes for sale at the moment so was wondering...

I'm guessing even for 1ml perfume samples I still need the label on the packaging?
Some perfumes I have didn't come with original packaging, how am I meant to send them? Is there anything I can do to substitute it?

Thank you :A

You can't send perfumes without their original packaging so hopefully they don't have bids and you can cancel the auctions.

Including eau de parfum, eau de toilette and alcohol-free perfumes, but excluding non-flammable perfumed creams, gels, oils or lotions.

Volume per item must not exceed 150ml. No more than four perfumes or aftershaves can be sent in any one package. The perfume or aftershave must be within its original retail packaging and then placed in strong outer packaging. The inner packagings must be packed, secured or cushioned to prevent breakage or leakage of their contents into the outer packaging.

An ID8000 label must be applied ( see example ID8000 label Opens in new window ). The sender’s name and return address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging.
These items must be presented at a Post Office® counter.

I won a bottle of Annick Goutal two weeks ago and it came with no box( I did know this as seller stated it), she wrapped it well in bubble wrap and used padded envelop. It arrived quickly with no problem, did have the proper sticker on it.

Samples, well if they come with the sleeve thing then that is classed as original packaging. As that is how the perfume houses manufacture them. I do see quite a few decants(made up from a larger bottle and put in 3-5mls glass sprays sold), Ebay banned decants a few years back but they are still on. What the seller does is show the full size bottle and in the full description state it is a decant of usually 3ml or sometimes 5mls.

I purchased a 200ml bottle from Amazon and it came by RM, obviously the big boys do not have to abide by the rules

I guess it will be a case of you can send it (if you lie at the PO if they ask what's in the parcel). But if it gets intercepted, it will be destroyed.

Also, if you use Drop & Go at the Post Office, then they never ask what is in the packages.

When you use Drop & Go at the Post Office you are meant to fill out a manifest each time that you are meant to specify if any dangerous goods inside. Im aware a lot of Post Offices don't get their D&G customers to do the manifests though.

I stand to be corrected but I think someone said there is a difference. From what I know Amazon parcels via RM won't go the same as if I drop a parcel at the Post Office. Amazon (I think) will essentially do most of the sorting work and RM deliver it.
