in Credit cards
Hi everyone I need your advice pronto please
I am wanting to use my credit card to pay for our wedding in Cyprus however we are using a wedding planner. (We won't be getting ourselves into debt)
I spoke to my bank and they said I would be protected should I do this but wasn't able to help with this question:
My wedding planner has given me their bank details, how to I pay them with my credit card? Is it possible?
Many thanks

Oh I don't think that's quite clear. I'll be paying from here in the UK to their account in Cyprus0

You need to ask them if they accept cards. If they don't, you will need to pay by another method.0

If they don't accept cards then it would need to be treated as a cash advance, withdrawing the cash then paying to their account. You should note that by taking a cash advance you are no longer covered under S75 if anything goes wrong.0

It is fairly easy for a business to get set up to accept credit cards... ask your wedding planner to do this, and make it clear that if they insist on a bank transfer then you will find a different wedding planner. If you pay money into their bank account you will not be protected.0
