Internet Banking notifications

recently my bank introduced notifications telling every time I logon that I have successfully logged on. I get these whether it's from my mobile or internet.
Am I the only one finding these not overly useful?
(and I have no option to opt out either!!!)
Is that a 'standard' features from other banks as well?

What bank is it? None of mine do this.0

Is it not telling you that you did LAST successfully log on at whatever time?
For example, you login on Tues at 9am and it says R.E. Morseless logged in at 8.55am Monday.
Then if hadn't actually logged in since last Friday you would know something was up. More than one bank has that security feature.0 -

You will find them useful if anyone else ever manages to login to your account0 -
I suspect this is a feature which only has to be useful once for it to be beneficial for an account-holder.0

maybe it's only me then! I am a bit OCD and I like to check my account daily for transactions (some of the ones I do on cards seem to take days to clear!).
I see the value but I would also be able to decide if I want it.
Given that once you're logged on you need a token to add a payee, you need a token to make a transfer, etc - not sure how this new added notifications are really doing much beside telling me I logged on.0 -
Well, wait until you get a notification when you haven't logged in. Then you will understand why they do it.0

What form does this intrusive notification take? A text message?, an email?, a phone call? - or just a little note on screen as you log in?
Which bank are we talking about?0 -

As others have asked, which bank is it? I have many accounts and none seem intrusive as they just say it on the screen rather than a big dialog box in the middle of the webpage once logged in.0
