    * Dyed my hair with hairdye from Poundland for the first time - and I'm converted
    * Didn't spend any money on lunch at work today
    * Bought food from Lidl for the rest of the week, good bargains with some louisiana chicken and sauce 30% off and some smoked salmon for dinner I'm making when my mum visits
    * Looked through some cook books and doing some recipe planning for next week
    * Filled in my income/expenditure book for the day..on track this week so all being well on Friday I will have £10 of this week's budget spare to invest in a slow cooker and try out some new recipes :j

    Feeling happy and positive!

Great reading everyone else's comments and hope you're all having a good day :)

It's funny that when I sit down in the evening for some relaxing time, instead of turning the TV I on I make a brew and read this thread :money:

Should of been going the cinema tonight but friend is still hungover from the weekend :rotfl: good job as I've spent the pennies and don't really want to dig it out of somewhere else. Though I think she would have paid as I got the beers in on our night out

Brought new journal today to record all things money etc main aim was to make Christmas list of what I've been picking up each week for the little ones. I was using a app at first but not stopped using and was just putting things in wardrobe. Just had a quick peek and there's quite a few bits I'd forgotten about. So job for tomorrow is write list, wrap and organise where to stash them properly.

Received in post today a .99p passport holder, which I was to use as lists and seperating money etc. it's amazing, nothing like the ones in the shops. Loads of compartments, zips etc

Been really windy here today and was worried about my new veg patch all day at work today (fencing etc) but it's stood the test so far!

Slowly getting back on top of house, much so much more organising and decluttering to do. Just picking away at it at the moment, just not getting any good amount of time!

Got some free tickets to the circus, need to check date. Not sure if it's for tomorrow or next Wednesday. Would need a little spends but will be a nice treat. Circus is actually in our town for once. Normally it's in a neighbouring one.

Well, I suppose I should stop yapping and go finish tidying the kitchen before bed.

    Night all
    Debt Remaing £315 :j

Evening all, the journal sounds a great idea, Jojo, (as does the passport wallet), I tend to put stuff away for presents throughout the year and forget what I have and end up with too much stuff for DSD (because she's more fun to buy for!) and not enough for the boys.

Today I had breakfast and lunch from my work store drawer and somebody had a birthday so we had free cake this afternoon too :) For dinner we used our leftover vouchers (DS opted not to eat out with me on Sunday!)

One of the houses up the road has a sold board, I will call the agent tomorrow to see if they will tell me how much for. If they won't it is the house belonging to the people that asked DH about how long it took to sell ours so I will go down and ask them to give me some idea whether it is roundabouts the same figure. For sure the houses we are looking at seem to have gone up since this one went under offer.

DSD has her school prom tomorrow, I won't be home in time but I'm trying to persuade DH to go to watch her arrive at the venue and take his mum along to see her too as she'd be chuffed. We went to watch DSs year all arrive for their prom and it was lovely seeing all the girls we normally see in jeans and leggings all wearing evening dresses :)

    Have a good evening all!
