So hey guys, new person here and all that (though I've been lurking here a while).
I thought I'd make a thread to me on track in the savings department. I'm a student only a few weeks away from finishing my degree, though I've known for at least a year that there is no way I'll be using this degree, therefore I am saving for a conversion course. Currently have about £2500 saved (really could've have been more but ive been kind of frivolous). Working part time in a bar at the moment. I can go full time after my degree is done, though I am looking for something that pays more than just above minimum wage. If I can't find anything before my tenancy comes to an end in July it looks like I'll be moving back up north just so I can save a bit more.
Nothing more to this thread other than to document my progress and to see if anyone else is in the same boat.:j

Good for you. (Haing a degree working and saving that is)
What is your degree in? Why are you sure you won't use it? Vast majority of degrees are pretty worthless in terms of absolute knowledge but demonstrate a capacity for thought and learning that can be turned into something useful with experience.
Great to have a goal to save for, so what's your number and by when?
Minimise outgoings, maximise earnings. Makes saving easier!Left is never right but I always am.0
