In my constituency the seat has been held by the same party since 1950 and the same party are a shoe in for this election too. I'll be voting but I spend most election campaigns as a fairly disinterested bystander.

Would you prefer a PR parliament where your vote does have an equal measure?

My constituency has predominantly been Liberal Democrats, with occasional Conservatives.

It will be interesting to see if the 14% majority can be overturned

    You probably mean uninterested.
If you were disinterested then you would have no particular preference who got in, and would merely be concerned with fair play among the candidates.

I'm happy enough with the current system where people in my community decide between us who should represent us in parliament. I don't like the thought of MP's winning seats based on complex maths rather than the simple maths of getting the most votes in their constituency.

Also, I think when this question is posed a lot of people will answer based on the chances that their preferred party would benefit rather than whether it delivers improved democracy. Anyway, the question was asked and answered in 2011 when we found that of the few people that were interested the vast majority favoured the status quo. Given the clear result I can't see the point of politicians wasting any time on ground only very recently covered.

If we've entered a new paradigm where the current system will only ever deliver coalitions then it's worth considering but a couple of coalitions in 8 or so decades is a long way from that new paradigm.

Unless your constituency is won by a single vote, then even if you vote for the person who wins the seat your individual vote is irrellevant.

You must live in a strange constituency.

We are seemingly a key marginal. Had enough literature through the letter box to paper the whole house, and barely an inch of roadside verge can be seen for all the signs.
