Russel Brand shocker: turns out to be a massive hypocrite

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32581972

Achingly unfunny faux-cockney turd Russell Brand who has previously urged people not to vote, has thrown his weight behind Labour.

Although I don't like Russel Brand there's nothing wrong with changing your mind. However it is a bit late to register to vote.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

Pretty sure he never changed his mind. His politics have always been transparently obvious. He's the definitive champagne socialist. He just thought that saying "don't vote" sounded a bit more clever/risque than saying "vote labour". Presumably the total lack of interest he received has persuaded him to come out & say what he clearly thought all along.

That's the problem though, waiting to change his mind long after the voter registration deadline means it's more than a little late for people to vote if they'd followed his previous advice not to vote. Rather poorly thought out to say the least.

Do you really want people who would be swayed by Russel Brand to vote? ;)

I can't understand why 'celebrities' feel the need to tell people what to vote.... do people take any notice??

Possibly so, but I bet Mr Cameron wishes he had endorsement from someone who the under 25s follow in their millions on Twitter and watch on Youtube.

If Cameron had got in their first he may well have had Brand on his side, thats how much of a loose cannon the man is. "My enemy's enemy is my friend" and all that.

Calling Mr Brand 'a joke' and dismissing him completely last week may be a decision Dave Cameron will come to regret.
