Lawn help needed

Hi
Cut my grass last weekend and have got so many weeds and dry grass. I have got evergreen 4 in 1 and richard jacksons lawn magic. I was going to use evergreen 4 in 1 first and then wait for the weeds to die before putting on the lawn magic. Is this the right way round to do this?

Thanks in advance

You need to rake out thatch twice a year, once at the end of the summer and then start of spring. Best do this now.

Dig out weeds, buy some good lawn seed, I get mine from ebay and then add it to compost and sharp sand and add in patches. Also more patches the more weed seeds germinate in your lawn.

Also have you got your mower blade sharpened and don't cut too low, that will make lawn look dead.

Water new seed in every day if no rain until you see new growth.

Feed your grass with seaweed extract or growmore every week.

At the end of the summer folking holes in the lawn helps.
    Kind Regards

I agree that raking out the thatch now is important. If left, your lawn weed and feed stuff will find it difficult to penetrate the layer of dead grass etc to reach the grassroots. Same with lawn seed - it needs to be sown directly onto the soil.

Raking gives me a back ache so I treated myself to an electric lawn rake - it's amazing how much it picks up.
