My partner has received a letter from the HM Revenue asking to provide information of all bank statements card bills and any other bills for the last two years for a home visit from the HMR. Has anyone ever received anything like this that could offer some advice. The letter states that thoud=sands of people each year are selected but obviously she is rather worried by it, Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

i had one of these 2 years ago, but they did not do a home visit i had to post my info, they just wanted to check my benefits i was getting at the time.
i was told they pick random people out to make sure that theres not a lot of fraud.....
as long as she`s been honest i cant see a problem, i never had to provide bank statements, so dont know why they would want them...0 -
If she has nothing to hide, there's nothing to worry about as long as she's been honest all along. They pick hundreds of people at random to do checks every year as has been said, more than likely this is what's going on. If they do a home visit, just make sure you've got all the information they're asking for to hand and to answer their questions correctly and honestly."Facism arrives as your friend.
