Morning one and all. It's been mayhem all morning with the 3 DGDs but I'm having a bit of peace at the minute as DH has taken them all up to the Doctor's surgery car park (closed today!) to practice on their new (to them) bikes. I've made a shepherds pie for lunch and that is timed to be ready for 12.30, when they have promised to be back!

After lunch we are all going up to the Moor Gate track with their bikes as, by then, they may be more confident on them No traffic up there but it's a bit stoney and there might be tears if one topples off!

At least they are taking my mind off my op tomorrow - assuming it goes ahead this time!! I just want a diagnosis, after all this time, whatever it might be.

Have a good Bank Holiday if you can. Take care and ((((( HUGS ))))) all round xx

  • Wash day woes!! I put the washer on with the bedding in, it had been going for about 15 minutes when i smelt burning, the plug on the washer had burnt all round the fuse. Changed the plug and set the washer going again, it will not drain. I think the pump has had it...........if the repair is going to cost too much I am going to buy a new one, only problem is if we get a call to say there is an apartment for us I will have to sell it, there is a laundry. The alternative is that we wait for a bungalow to come our way, as we are only classed as medium it could be a blooming long wait!! So in a bit of a cleft stick. In the mean time I am stuck with a washer load of laundry that I cannot get out. I am dreading the repair man coming I know he will open the filter and we will have water all over the kitchen floor, if he cannot fix it I will them also have a pile of wet towels and a visit to the launderette in prospect.....aarrgghhhhh!!

Its a lovey day, was looking forward to having sheets line dried in the airing cupboard.....no such luck.

....would agree with L W that questions about starting a family are rude and intrusive.
I used to get them on a regular basis, when I was still of a reasonable child-bearing age.:( I never knew whether to extemporise, and have the asker repeat the question next time I saw them, or to be brutally honest and tell them it wasn't on my life's "to do" list.

My butterfly rash is bad today - I look as though I have some sort of fright-mask on! :(

    Awww, thanks Docky.:heartsmil

That's what I love about canine friends - they don't care if my rash is bad, or if I haven't been able to brush my hair, or anything else like that - as long as they get walked, fed and loved, they're happy.:o

    Some pictures for you all

Today we have been to the park.

Talk about feeling a bit of fool. "Soldier, look over there you can see two squirrels" I pointed out to him.

I then turned to Mama Kim and said "What wildlife do you commonly see where you live?"

She answered "Monkeys, some really big ones!"

Talk about feeling a bit of a fool. :D

    Afternoon all,

What a lovely day it's been. Lots of sunshine :)

    Judi - Lovely photos :)

DS2 woke us up about half four this morning, getting ready to go to a car show thing at Lydden Hill. God knows why they needed to go so early. It's only about 50 mins away and didn't open till 9!

Me and DH took a drive to Whitstable, think the world and his wife had the same idea. Bit of sunshine and everyone heads for the coast! Mad English! Anyway managed to find somewhere to park and had a lovely mosey around. Came back via Faversham where we stopped for a coffee.

Back to normal for us all tomorrow.

Hope you all had good weekends.

it was May Day celebrations at the Castle in Whitstable!

We went to Faversham for a walk around the creek via the pub down on the Swale. OS picnic in Herne Bay for us on the way home.
