Liverpool Hotel Advice

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I was after some advice please

if anyone could give their opinions on these 2 hotels i would appreciate it
Hampton by Hilton £240
Days Inn £145

Both prices are based on a twin room b&b (mother & daughter shopping trip)

Thanks in advance

MSE head tells me to book cheaper one, as we wont spend too much time in the room really

The hampton is usually much less than £100- they are budget hotels aimed at business that include a very basic breakfast.
    June challenge £100 a day £3161.63 plus £350 vouchers plus £108.37 food/shopping saving

    July challenge £50 a day. £ 1682.50/1550

When I go I stop at the travelodge at the strand. Right opposite the docks and next to Liverpool one for the shopping. Plus the bus from the airport stops just by it. Ok it's not plush, but the breakfast is good and the bar area is pretty nice. Usually around £40 a night if booked in advance

I don't know those hotels but they seem very expensive.

When I'm in Liverpool I've stayed at the Premier Inn on Albert Dock. It's very close to the shops and unlike many Premier Inns it's in an historic dock building rather than purpose built. Loads of restaurants nearby too.

Provided your trip doesn't clash with Everton or Liverpool home matches you should be able to get a good price.

I'd be trying different dates. There must be an event on for those prices.

A couple of weeks ago we stayed at the Liner and would highly recommend it, free parking, large comfy bed and best breakfast ever.
Also convenient as it was up by the railway station so we would walk down through the shopping centre and catch a bus back. Parking down by the docks is expensive but there are cheaper all day places not far away. Bus is a set fee for all day.

I would also recommend the Strand Travelodge. It is a great location with many rooms having a view of the dock. It is a fairly new Travelodge, so basic but not tired as some can be. The only downside is that it does attract a lot of hen parties at the weekends, but staff made sure we were in a room well away from them. If I go back to Liverpool again I would choose this hotel again but do a midweek break.

The Premier Inn on Hanover Street is £167 for the date you mentioned. This is on a prepaid non-refundable rate without breakfast.

The Albert Dock one is £200 on the same rate basis as above.
