Returning from living in Europe. Thinking about our next moves ...
DH is a limited company contractor - turnover over 100k pa
He has been working in the UK & commuting weekly since dec 2014
He has worked in the same field UK & abroad for over 5yrs on either limited company contractor basis (uk) or self employed (Europe)
I'm not currently employed but very likely to pick up part time employed work in the UK paying circa 25k.
We own outright our current UK house having paid off the mortgage early approx 12 mths ago. We will be moving back into this.
If we look to move we will have at least 55-60% as a deposit.
How long till we could be considered for a residential mortgage?
If we decided to get a BTL or 2 would we be able to get mortgages for those sooner?

I think you're looking at typically 6 months back in the UK before you could apply for a residential mortgage. I don't know about BTL I'm afraid.
Probably best to consult a broker.Slummy mummy!0 -
Anybody else got any thoughts, especially with regard to my DH being a limited company contractor.
We will speak to a broker once we're all settled but would prefer not to waste their time (or ours)0
