in Credit cards
My mother needs to move about £2000 to interest free credit cards, I've literally just applied for one and was hoping the near £2000 but came in just under £500. I could lend her the cash but I would not ask for it back not that i dont need that saved for a rainy day but i would never ask for it back. Is it too early to apply for another card? How long should i wait? I did a soft search and the card i just got was top of the list. We are doing this in her name with her being on a pension i feel we may only get small amounts. Id like to put it in both my parents as dad still works so more chances i would assume of a higher limit. but With his problems (medical) this is a very big no
If worst happens Im £1500 down

One credit search isn't much. You can make 1-2 more applications before taking ~6 months break.
Also, repaying the debt has to be addressed in the first place as shifting the debt is just a temporary solution.0 -
Thanks grumbler. I will do another one or two applications to see we can get £1000. The repaying is already sorted as when i was going to lend it her, she offered a good size repayment per month.0
