Can I top up?

I have yet to open my new Cash ISA. Skipton are offering a fixed rate bond which can be started with £500 and topped up to the full allowance providing the bond had not closed. My question is, if I had £5000 of my allowance left but the bond had closed can I open a new Bond with the same provider for the £5000, or have I lost the rest of my allowance for this year?

You can only put new money into one cash ISA in the same financial year. So answer is yes, you would risk losing some of your allowance.0

Unless you choose to have your cash ISA with Nationwide (and a couple of other ISA providers/managers) who allow you to split your allowance between several of their products
