you can buy a wireless dongle for your pc which would connect to your router as long as its in range. as long as your house/flat isnt too big, it should be just fine.

Yes if you haven't got one and the PC is not wireless equipped.

Normally Cable modem

.............................Ethernet......................Wireless
Or you could simply extend the cable into the room where the PC is located - easier and cheaper! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
the virgin modem/router is not wireless
can i connect the sky wireless box to the virgin one or do i have to get a new wireless router?

No not easily.

So do it yourself. The cable and connectors are readily available and a cabled solution would be better than wireless. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

All you need is some satellite cable with an " F " connector on each end to the required length.
A well known auction site has lots.
Or get from B&Q. etc.0 -
hanks to everyone who has replied and help
my best bet is to go with the last suggestion and get the satellite cable and
the "F" connector.
although no doubt dh will end up constantly tripping over cables and i will have to plug my ears with cotton wool to stop hearing verbal beautiesNice to save.0
