British Gas Strike Again.. At least for me.

Hi,

Ah well it was all going too smooth, some spanner had to be thrown in. My British Gas bills on the new website are all over the place, they don't make any sense, there is stuff missing from them and readings don't tally.

I just rang them in the end to find out why the Bill doesnt show correctly, I have been charged correctly, and the readings between bills are ok, its jut the amounts and unit charges and what readings are on the bill are all to pot.

The lady on the phone could not understand why my bill displayed all over the shop, and the only solution was to issue me with a paper bill!

It seems my last few are all messed up like that on the new site, they were fine on clickenergy.co.uk.

I, too got a paper version that is correct, but it doesn't help all those on paperless bills.

I still say that site should be taken down till this is fixed.

What is odd is the women I spoke to at the "house billing" team, no idea why they still call it that but the normal billing people couldnt help I had to be passed over to the "house billing" team

She seemed shocked I was having any trouble, as she could see my bill perfectly on her screen.

So they are sending me a paper bill, which doesnt really help the situation much. I have emailed them today to explain in detail about it.

I am not holding my breath though.

I have the same problems. But it's not just the inadequate display we have to worry about. Look at the figures in your summary; 12.03 + 49.97 - 48 - 2.40 + 2.37 = 13.97. The statement shows 8.97. I suppose at least the mistake is in your favour, but you have no idea where you really stand. I think it's unbelievable that they can't even get the simple addition of some numbers correct.
