Can't access Play Store!

Got a new Xperia Z3 Compact a couple of days ago and been getting it organised/setup. It was originally on Android 4.4.4 and everything was fine, but it's now updated to 5.0.2 and I can no longer access the Play Store.

Can anyone advise what's going on, and a solution?
David.

    Tried, but no difference.

When I click on the Play Store icon, I get a screen with my Gmail address near the top, then Redeem, Settings, Help & Feedback, About Google down the left hand side. As I said, before Android updated I'd downloaded some apps without any problem.

Anybody out there can help please?

Well the time and date were ok. And although I haven't yet put my SIM in, switching on mobile data seemed to do the trick.

Although the only mystery in that is that I didn't have mobile data switched on earlier when Play Store was working ok pre-updating Android.

    But thanks for your help.

connected to wifi previously? and didn't set up wifi on the updated software?

just sounds like you had no internet connection, whether mobile or wifi.

Of course I had an internet connection, you know that wee symbol that appears at the top of your screen? Did you read and understand my previous posts?

Play Store is an app. How does the browser come into it?

I have to say that I can't see anything in your previous posts that tells us you have a working Wi-Fi connection AFTER the update. And as the symptoms you experienced are consistent with having no data access I think it was a reasonable statement.

(To add this - depending on the way you upgraded the handset and how your router is configured; you may have needed to reconnect. Turning on and off mobile data will cause the Wi-Fi to reconnect)
