Reminders - Pop-ups/ e-mail / post?

I would like something that would remind me to cancel contracts / birthdays etc.

I have a computer at home that does get used daily and also at work but at work it's likely that someone else would close and ignore any pop-ups.

My contracts are usually 90 days notice and last 12 months. So ideally I want something that uses the Internet as I'm usually on it, or perhaps that also will post or e-mail me a reminder.

What are everyone else's views?

Well Google do a Google Calendar and you can schedule reminders in Windows Calendar.

What about using your mobile phone instead? It's the one thing that's likely to be on, makes a noise and only you use it.

lol well mobiles get lost good idea though. Perhaps Google calendar although I don't really use it would it message me and remind me that way?
