Can't you take it back to the store for a refund, or any sture?
From what I've read, it seems the toy on their site doesn't mention having sound, so they are correct there. And that this other link isn't the same one as they've told you they do a different version for toys r us (so toys r us aren't at fault there). The .com link doesn't work.
I was on holiday in the UK when I bought this so it's a bit difficult to take it back
I've just checked the toysrus.co.uk website, looks like they have now corrected the ad and show the right toy, what ashame they haven't had the courtesy to reply to my emails, offer me the part refund or god forbid thank me for pointing out the mistake on thier site!0 -
Toysrus UK are dirty !!!!!s, five weeks on and they do not reply to my emails, letter or phone messages
they don't care and are happy to leave a 2year old child unhappy and with the wrong toy0 -
Toys r us customer services are the pits.
They dont have the curtosy to write back, or return phone calls, even when its about a push chair that will not move!!! (how faulty and unfit for purpose is that! thought I would be covered by the sale of goods act, but if you have absolutly no response from head office customer services, and the store just re-direct you to back to head office with the complaint, what can you do!!??)
Im not up to the stress of considering the small claims court, and I think thats what they rely on, people not knowing how, or not wanting to take it that far.
OP, do you still have the printed out copy of the web page, showing the original toy with sound description, and perhaps print out the new page, so you can show them the difference?
I wish you luck!
there are quite a few old threads about toys r us here, also try a search for TRU, t.r.u. and tru as some posters refer to it this way, there are a few with good links to directors and the american head office that people have persued, sorry dont know how to post a link to them.0 -
It's a long time ago now but I did this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/1999/11/30/cybersquatter_targets_toys_r_us/
which got me in touch with head office in the US.
US customer service is much better and all was resolved amicably. Look for the company name "Geoffrey Inc."Can I help?0 -
I did find the US toysrus site to be much better, on there I found a list of directors, CEOs etc.
I've sent an email to them all, several addresses have already bounced back, but who knows one email get through to someone in autority and who cares about it's customers0 -
arrogant !!!!!!, finally after 5 weeks they reply and have refered me to megabloks
correct me if I'm wrong but as i bought the toy from toysrus is it not them who should put the problem right?0
