Well the company you mentioned is directed by "Mr Amit Chandarana".. name ring a bell?
Looks like he's been a director of a string of dissolved companies. So you either have the correct name of somebody very dodgy or the wrong name of somebody you don't know

            It is no wind up.
As I said before, all the items were to come out in the one order. I didn't order them all at different times.
If I could copy the hundreds of texts on here, you too would see just how fathomable they were.

Being honest a few red flags would've raised for me but then I'm probably more untrusting than most (imo you should never trust the say-so of someone who has an interest in getting you to part with your money).
Them wanting paid by bank transfer (especially to a private individual rather than a company account) would have been enough on its own for me to give it a miss - no matter how great the deal they were offering was.
Often that is how scams like this work - people seem more willing to take risks in order to get a better deal. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
            Sally,
have you tried doing a search on Google using the information that you have? (Try a few searches using the name, bank account number and mobile phone number).
Doing this can often bring up websites where other people have been asking for advice after being ripped off and if you can show that it's an on going wide reaching scam then you are far more likely to get the police or Action fraud interested.0 -
He contacted me after I had placed an advert on Gumtree looking for a replacement phone for my son.
I have since googled the sort codes - both banks in Liverpool, and lo and behold, he had an scouse accent when I spoke to him on the phone.
I have reported it now to Action Fraud and to the various banks involved.
Is there a way of checking if a mobile number is contract or PAYG?
Thanks for replies.
