I've been awarded ESA

Today I found out I've been awarded ESA for 2 yrs, a mighty relief. As I receive DLA do I automatically get the disability premiums or do I need to apply for them? Thank you!

Are you on contribution based ESA? Which group are you in?

If you are on contribution based ESA are you also eligible for income based ESA (means tested so any partner/ Savings/Capital?)

What levels of DLA have you been awarded?

Do you live alone? Does someone claim Carer's Allowance for you?

    Sorry, for all the questions!

Here's a link for you so you can work it out:

You need to contact them and let them know. I think there is a form to complete!

To be fair for the SDP there are extra 'rules' like living alone and not having any non dependants living with you, nor someone claiming CA for you. If you own your own house and are not claiming HB/housing costs then I don't think the 'no non dependants living with you' would be on 'file'.

The SDP is the premium that I believe you will need to complete the form to claim.

There is a form to complete. But, unlike many forms, it's pretty simple.
