Victorian Plumbing - Faulty Concealed WC Cistern

Hello, I hope somebody here will be able to advise what my rights are.
I have recently bought a 'Concealed WC Cistern with Wall Hung Frame' from Victorian Plumbing. The cistern was installed by a plumber and then boxed up and tiled over. Few days later a toilet and waste were installed. It was only then that we found out that the cistern was faulty and that the water kept overflowing into the pan. I immediately contacted Victorian Plumbing as the item is still under 30 business days repair warranty (I sent them a recording of the fault).
Victorian Plumbing contacted the manufacturer (Premier) and the manufacturer admitted the item was faulty and they are now sending me a replacement. I explained to Victorian plumbing that the cistern had already been installed and I just want the faulty part repaired, not the whole thing. You can access the cistern through the flush button hole. If the while thing needs replacing - who should pay for the extra costs of having a new cistern installed - plumber cost, new tiles, adhesive, tilers cost etc. We are talking here about £500. I am so angry at the moment as this item shouldn't have been faulty in the first place!
Any advice would be extremely appreciated. Thank you

Surely they are just sending you a replacement of the working parts and not the whole cistern, if they are then just remove the workings from the new one and swap them.0

(2)If the buyer requires the seller to repair or replace the goods, the seller must—
(a)repair or, as the case may be, replace the goods within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience to the buyer;
(b)bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particular the cost of any labour, materials or postage).
Its also a basic principle in law - that where one part breaches a contract, they are liable for reasonable costs incurred due to that breach.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Tiling over a cistern is a very bad idea, you are just going to have more problems later on down the line.
You tile a removable panel and fit it in place so it's easy to remove later when this happens again, and it will happen again.
Your plumber should not have allowed it to be tiled over until it was working as intended, a mistake Victoria plumb will not take responsibility for.0 -
They are sending a new concealed cistern. The problem is I do not even know which part in the cistern is causing the water to overflow so I have to get a plumber to diagnose and swap the parts, who of course will need to get paid for the job... again.0
