Music downloads

My daughters have been using peer to peer music downloads, and we may have got a virus from this as we had lots of computer problems (now fixed).
Could any one recommend a good service which is easy to use.
I googled music downloads and was overwhelmed with choice!
Would prefer a subscription service as I think paying for individual tracks could get expensive. I did try Napster on a free trial but found it very confusing to use - not just me, my daughters too, so I can't blame my advancing years!

Don't really want them just for MP3 players, mainly for downloading & playing on computer. I did think iTunes was just for ipods, so if it isn't will try that.

He's already tried napster. Only problem with napster subscription services is you lose the songs you've download if you cancel the membership.
I personally use itunes, find it great but its not subcription based.0 -

Depends what sort of music you're after. iTunes Store is very good as mentioned, there's also eMusic and 7Digital. I'd avoid the WMA based services like Napster.0
