Cost of installing gas hob

Moved to a new house where cooking is by induction.
Not really a fan of it so want to install traditional gas hob and oven.
What will appx cost for this?
The house as gas central heating though.
So I basically need to get someone to bring the gas pipe to the cooking area and buy a gas cooker.

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Assuming you have a boiler in the kitchen, the Gas Safe fitter can pick up a supply from the boiler and route it to the hob. Depends how far away it is, access etc, but certainly a good mornings work. Expect to pay £150 to £200.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Where's the nearest gas point to the cooker, what are the walls made of what's your location.0

Nearest gas point to cooker is at other corner of kitchen wall where boiler is installed.
Walls are made of brick.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

not necessarly, the gas pipe supplying the boiler might have been sized to just feed thatI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Is it a new new house or a house that's new to you? If it's an older property there's a good chance that there might have been a gas/oven there previously. Try to take off the kickboard/plinth below the units and see if you can see a pipe that's been capped off? If its a straightforwardish job expect to pay around £150-250.0

Any specific reason you do not like induction? - they are fantastic. If you do not need to buy a lot of cookware, it might be cheaper to stick with induction.
You might save around £ 10-15 with gas per year but the cost of getting a new hob and the work involved might take a good few years to break even“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu

You may hit a problem in the kitchen trying to re-route a supply if you have to pass a door, or even the kitchen units may be hard to get behind.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
