Good Morning chums ,bit overcast at the moment but fingers crossed it will brighten up a bit .History class this afternoon which I always enjoy and lots of banking etc and sorting finances this morning as its the 1st of the month so new budgets and bills will be paid.Hope Elona is coping as well as she can in the circumstances.

I watched the 6.0'clock news last night and the dreadful things that were happening in Nepal and the miracle of the young boy being pulled from the building and thought how uplifting it was for the rescuers even getting one person out from the devastation was cheering. :):):)

A few moments later there was a news item about some workers being stuck on a train (shock horror ) with No Air Conditioning, (open a blooming window then ) and police and paramedics rushing there with bottles of water and I was so cross. These people have been perhaps inconvenienced at most, but their lives have not been threatened. They have not lost friends, families and homes, or being dreadfully injured, or even perhaps only have the clothes they stood up in .For Gods sake

My late Mum was bombed out twice, and the second time she emerged clutching her children and her radio and very little else .

Being stuck on a train is hardly something to whinge and create about Grrr... maybe its me just being a grumpy old woman, but there are disasters in this world that are real, and sorry as I am for commuters they were in no danger of death or destruction just a bit thirsty and hot
I must be getting old I think
Have a good day what ever you are doing
One very cross old woman ,

  • Morning ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Bright morning but cold, OH is putting the pots from the garden in the car ready to take to their new owner. I have washing in the machine, will put tit out. Then I have one of the quilting ladies coming to collect her handbag which she left yesterday, off for OH's INR and the post office. Whew.

Royal visit went ok yestareday, SIL seemed quite surprised at how well OH looked. Just had enough time to gobble some soup and bread before I needed off to the quilting group.

Shattered when I got home, one of the group is a visual learner and she is very hard work at times. She could not get the block right, I ended up bringing it home.

I now have two helpers in the group, one checks the names off on the list as people come in the other is making the tea etc, washing up and helping me pack up, which is great.

OH had been fine whilst I was out, great relief.

Morning Everyone, it has taken me a while to read back, no real excuse apart from life getting in the way.
Elona thinking of you and yours. Look after you too.
Belated Birthday wishes to Wolfy & Docky with a extra bug lick from Skye.
Judi enjoy your daughters visit, and the wedding.
Re the D before hubby, son, daughter, granddaughter, etc., I always think it was short for anything you wanted it to be. Dear/Dearest/Darling/Damn/Dreaded/Doubtful or anything else appropriate.
We are out in the caravan, down at Towcester Racecourse until Tuesday, so if anyone nearby wants to pop for a coffee they are welcome. Home for a week then out up to Catterick for 4 nights. Hopefully my tooth problem will be settled soon, been ongoing since November, currently have a weekly date with the dentist!
The sun is out at the moment, but the wind is cold and quite strong. Just chilling deciding what to do today, apart from a nip into Ald! here.
((Hugs)), spoons and positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DG

    Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all okay. :j
Been to see my Dad today. He is not well again, but is refusing his oxygen as well. He was rambling a lot, he rang me and wished me "A Happy New Year"!:rotfl:Trouble is, one day he'll be like this, then he'll rally again. The strain on me is rotten. Doesn't help my MS either.:o

Had some lovely photos taken two weeks ago whem DS and his fiancee were here. All the family together.

Judi bet you have a great time with everyone. Enjoy!:T

Not a lot from me, just to tell you all I'm still here!:rotfl:

After a lot of phoning etc I managed to get DH transferred to the care home about seven last night and was expecting to make sure he was settled then come home and start a family rota of visits today.

It turned out he was deteriorating fast so we all stayed there all night and most of today and the home was lovely making sure he was not in pain or distressed.

We lost him around lunchtime bur he was surrounded by immediate
family and never alone, knowing how much he was loved and how proud we were of him.

Going to try to sleep for a couple of hours.

    Hugs to all

Oh Elona, I'm so sorry for you all.

I hope you can take some comfort in that you were all there and he was comfortable.

    (((((hugs))))) x
  • ELONA an ending surrounded by those who love you is a comfort for all of you, sadness that Mr E is now resting but relief that his ordeal is ended and he is now free. He's flying on the wind and soaring on the thermals and at peace. Love to you all, Lyn xxx.

Oh Elona, I am so sorry for you and the girls. He is at peace and flying high like a kite, free from pain and fear.

I will light a candle for him tonight.

    Love to you all
