Freeview text is slow?

Anyone else finding that the text service on BBC freeview (news, weather, lottery results etc.) is slow to appear / doesn't appear when you "press red"?

I find I have to change channels & back again to get the "press red" logo to appear. If the logo is missing, and I press red, nothing happens.

I'm using a freeview box (bought at the time of switch-over) with an analogue TV, but the text service has always been fine until recently.

I too sometimes suffer the same problem on both my TVs.

Also, I find it really annoying when you are half way through reading a story, and it's changed to something else - this happens a lot with sports stories.

Sometimes I crave for good old fashioned Ceefax!

Have a freeview TV here but that's always been painfully slow since new so I gave up using those services.

It comes & goes. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes you go to a page & it just disappears, try again & it's ok, sometimes it works fine.

Not just me then.

Given my inability to pay attention to a weather forecast as it's broadcast, I like the "press red" 24h & 5 day maps!
